Hayat Mamud His real name is Md Muniruzzaman.He was born on July 2, 1939 in Moura village of Hooghly district of West Bengal.Parents' first child.Hayat Mamud completed his primary education in Khajurdah B. Bakaullah Primary School, Hooghly,West Bengal.He then completed his secondary education from St.Gregory's High School.
Dhaka in 1956.He completed his higher secondary education from Notre Dame College and Quaid-e-Azam College in 1958. After that, he received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Bengali Department of Dhaka University in 1964. P. H. D. in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University, Calcutta in 1984. The research subject was Gerasim Stepanovich Liebedev.One of the strongest writers of prose literature in Bangladesh.Hayat Mamud holds a place of respect in the hearts of the reading community.He is a modern poet, fiction writer, professor,educator and translator.He is also well established as a researcher and essayist.In his long literary life, he wrote many poems, essays, biographies.Translated many books. He has received numerous honors and awards for his versatile works in literature.Among them Bangladesh Shishu Academy Literary Award (2013),Ekushe Padak (2016),Rabindra Award (2017), Bangla Academy Literary Award are notable.
